When Mr. Henderson asked if Anthony could attend his basketball camp, my only question was where and when.  Knowing Esian as a church member and a friend, I have watched him (something necessary when you release your child to someone) and found him to be a very positive and God fearing young man.

My son had become negative about playing basketball and didn’t really want to attend the camp.  Ah, but Mother knows best, so I enrolled him.  He enjoyed every minute.  Anthony received positive feedback, from an actual basketball player, and got instruction on things he was doing incorrectly. He decided to try out for his high school team.  The Hogan Rams made it to state completion in Columbia MO, playing two games in the Mizzou Arena at University of Missouri.  As a parent, I am not concerned about my son, making it to the NBA, but welcome the fundamental skills and the confidence building that was shown to the attendees of the camp, that made all the difference in him giving basketball another “shot” pardon the pun!   Now that he has had that experience, I think he is thinking about attending college, and the avenues to get him there.  Thank You!
